Unit 9

Well I am happy to say my paper is finally done. I am hoping it is as good as I want it to be, but I guess we will see. I feel accomplished, tried and nervous. Mostly nervous though because I hope that I did all my in-text citation correct so I don't look like a plagiarized. Even though through this course we did a lot of writing I still love it. But I write for myself it helps me relax and helps my tune out the world. It takes me to a place that is all mine and there are no interruptions. My ideas about writing have changed a little because I know more than. By using what I have learned though out this course my writing will only continue to get better. I really enjoyed taking this class, it was hard but well worth the outcome.

Unit 8

I have not had any major big issues throughout this process except for finding more time to do everything. Sometimes I feel like I need 8 more arms then maybe I will be OK. This process has been challenge but in a good way. With a challenge things are to simple, we have to be able fight and fail at things to be able learn and achieve. I have not had a lot comments toward my blogs but that's OK. If people choose not to read them then that's there right. I look at it this way if if they want to read them awesome let me know what you if not its cool maybe next time. I actually enjoy writing in my blog it helps me relax so most likely I will continue to do so in the future.

Unit 7

What a process this paper has been. It was definitely been a challenge but a good. I really enjoy peer reviews because it give you a chance to help someone else out and also for you to gets some help back. Just because your paper looks good to you doesn't mean that there not any mistakes or problems that you missed. I know from experience after a paper over and over again you are bound to miss something and it is nice for someone else to point that out and give you better ideas to make your paper better. During this writing process I have had a lot of Ah Ha moments, especially during the research part. My biggest Ah Ha moments was when I was writing my rough draft. I think I wrote my rough draft over like 5 times and everything time I found little ideas that I like but never really like the direction that the paper was going so what I did was take each part that I like and made my rough draft is was exactly the direction that I wanted. I found a lot of things that I liked about this writing process. I like that I chose a challenging topic and that I had many options on the direction that my paper went.

Unit 6

My last six weeks......

I give thanks everyday for what God has given my I have the best son, wonderful friends and family. These last six weeks have been fun, amazing, stressful, and most of all nothing I would have changed. My son is growing up so fast, We have recently started potty training and I don't think it could be going any better. Now we are just waiting for him to start talking. I was blessed to be able to watch my two very best friends become one. It was a day of tears, joy, love and simple happiness. The stress of the planning and waiting was well worth it because I don't think two people have ever been more perfect for each other. You know life is always stressful and sometimes painful but I think if you have just enough faith you can get though anything. Sometimes life is hard but if we can get though that we will appreciate the good times even more then before.

I chose a very personal topic for my paper because depression hits home for me. So I really don't think it will help with later research unless the research I am doing is very personal to me. But I know I would change my topic because I think that doing something this personal challenges me to do my best. I don't like do things just because I know I can. I like things that I am going to have to work for and things I will be proud to have my stamp on because I know I worked for it.

Unit 5

Wow! What a week it has been. I feel like last week I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off. My best friend got married last Saturday and it was just amazing I think all the craziness was worth it. But now that is all over its back to work full force.

Writing to me is personal no matter what it is that I write I will try to put everything I have into what I write. A lot of the time I don't use a prewriting techniques I kinda start to write the first thing that comes to mind and just see where it goes. When it comes to school writing I seem to use brainstorming and free writing mostly. I think this to techniques because they not to formal and there room for freedom in the paper.

The only real academic challenge that I have is finding time to do everything with me working and taking care of my son on my own but at the end of the day I love the challenge and I love my life. I don't look at this challenge as a bad thing I look at it has a growing and learning period because I know things are hard now but I also know that things will get better. If you can get through the hard time you will appreciated the good times even more.


As of right now I couldn't be happier with my life. I have a great son, a job and I am going back to school. I might not have the greatest job that paid tons of money but we make it and that is all that matters to me because I know it could be worse and I appreciate everyday that I get because once you become a parent you life changes is such a huge way, you look at life in a totally different way. You make changes to fit your child's needs not your own. Which is the biggest reason I went back to school because I want what is best for my son. I want to be able to give every possibility. Some days are harder then others but just to see him smile and happy makes everything is ok to me.

Unit 4

Plagiarism is stealing bottom line. People plagiarise without even realizing it. If you use someone else's work regardless of how you right it is still theirs. This is why it is important to cite your sources. If someone was to used something of mine without giving me credit for the work, I would be a very unhappy camper. In high school I wrote a paper on the Salem Witch Trails, I worked for months on this paper because it was worth 75% of are grade for the year. A friend of mine was writing on the same topic and asked if I would help her, so I did. Then come to find out after we turned are papers in, she basically used half of my paper for her own. The teacher gave us both F on the paper but after I explained what happen and showed him all my rough drafts and sources that I used and she could show him anything. He let me have a do over, so in the end I had written two papers just because someone couldn't and wouldn't take the time to do their own work. It was horrible because I worked very hard on the first paper.

There are a lot of plagiarism in the real world today because people are lazy and won't take the time to put in hard work in themselves. People like taking the easy road with things. I think that trying fix the problem is harder unless people are willing to get off their butts and do it themselves but I honestly don't believe most people are going to do that.

Plagiarism and Internet, Yes I do believe that the lines are blurr on what is legally owned. It is so easy to take someones work and use it has your own on the Internet and also it is hard to trace when someone does that. Fixing the plagiarism problem that we having is never going to change unless people want it to. Because really who wants to take the hard road when the easy road takes less time.

Paper Topic

The topic that I have chosen for my paper is Depression. I chose this topic because it is very personal to me and my family. My mother suffers from Depression and has for a long time. With writing this paper I like there are going to be up and downs. Hopefully I will be up for the challenge. The hardest thing I like is trying not to let it get to personal and keeping as scientific as I can. I am actually getting really excited about writing this paper.

I really enjoy being an online student. I really like the that its on my time, because being a single mother time to yourself is hard to come by. With that being a online student works for me and my son. I also really like that we have two different option when attending the seminar because I sometimes am unable to attend live seminar so I like that I have another option to chose from.

This is the first time that I have ever written blogs of any kind, so it is really new to me but I think its going to be an interesting and fun experience. I look forward to writing more and following my other classmate as they write their blogs. It is a good way to get to know everyone else outside of the online class room.
